Projects
Historical Background
This facility served as an ad-hock fire station located on the outskirts of central Lagos and was donated by Elf Petroleum Nigeria Ltd (now Total Nigeria Ltd). It is the only public firefighting infrastructure serving a very large densely populated community.
The Fund evaluated the renovation of the existing facility but in line with our slogan "to build better," we opted to build a new standard, well-equipped fire station to serve the community and help protect lives and properties in emergency fire situations. Alimosho Local Government Council has graciously agreed to provide a new site to build a standard facility and The Fund is working with them.
Project Brief
The High Court of Lagos State, Igbosere is one of the public buildings affected by the October 2020 civil unrest under the purview of The Fund.
Project Objective
The new fire station is expected to be designed with high level automation and adjustability of its facility and equipment. Upgrades in the new fire station will include automated alarm systems, fire resistant PPE, respirators (SCBA, CCBA, etc), fire hydrants network, advanced first aiders and more.
